Meet Us
Meet Us
We are two innate travelers/adventure seekers who decided to stray away from the conventional path and buy a sprinter van, convert it into a mobile home and travel wherever roads will take us. We've been on the road full-time for a year and a half now and here's how it started.
Two years ago, we skipped class for nine months to backpack Southeast Asia and realized how naturally the nomadic lifestyle came to us. Collecting memories, immersing ourselves in new cultures, and making lifelong friends on the road became second nature to us. We strive to continually live life that way. Two people driven by curiosity, pursuing the unknown like the
mavericks we are.
pete
pete
Pete is a guy who will try just about anything, at just about any time.
People have been saying, "life is short", for ages and Pete constantly reminds himself of this and tries to fill each day with meaningful experiences.
He's a strong believer that everyone should pursue their passions. For him, that passion is traveling, experiencing new cultures/ways of life, exploring our beautiful planet and meeting new people.
From growing up in a small Midwestern town, living in the heart of New York City, backpacking South East Asia, teaching surf lessons in Florida and earning a business degree, Pete continually seeks opportunities to experience different lifestyles.
Although he has loved each one in their own way, he knows a traveling, minimalistic lifestyle is what excites and motivates him at this point in his life.
taylor
taylor
The tattoo on Taylor's arm reads "simple" in Thai. It's her favorite of all her tattoos because it embodies her love for simplicity and travel.
Happiest when her feet are dirty, her hair is messy, and is living only with what she needs, she's passionate about life's simple joys. Spontaneous adventures and creating memories are what make life meaningful for her and she is willing to try anything or go anywhere.
Most people would consider her a "crazy dog lady". Dogs are her passion and she endeavors to model their attitude in life. She also has a talent for creating unique voices for every dog she meets. Snoop can vouch for that.
Life has thrown her a curve ball or two...or twenty, but it's those simple facets in life that bring her back to earth and drive her to live fuller, travel farther, love harder, and be gracious for the one life we're given.
snoop
snoop
Snoop (aka Snoopins aka The Doopins aka Doodie Head) is a big, beautiful 90 lb lapdog.
His adoption papers read "American Staffordshire Terrier Mix" but it's believed that he is more of a "Dinosaur/Cow Mix".
Pete and Tay adopted him when he was five years old in June, 2013. While it may not seem smart to adopt a dog in your junior year of college, Snoop has been the biggest blessing in their lives. He loves too hard (he crushes you while cuddling) and snores when he's awake.
He is a master of eating the food around his arthritis medicine and spitting only the pill back out. He doesn't have a vicious bone in his body and charms everyone he meets.
He's the kind of pal that will never leave your side.
